Summer Reading Program
Studies show that students who do not READ OVER THE SUMMER can lose up to a full year of reading ability.
We encourage our students to participate in Summer Reading activities to continue their reading growth.
Here is how:
Sign up and COMPLETE the first tier (15 books or 15 hours) of the “Build a Better World” Program at the Public Library (any branch). You can register online via this link
OR in person at the public library.
Read, read, read books from home, the Pine Street Library and/or the public library. Read materials in print and online. Read everything!
Keep track of what you read and complete the reading log we sent home or download more from the Pine Street website.
Turn in your reading logs to the public library by July 31st or to Mrs. Bailie by August 25th for recognition and rewards.
